Description
If you’d like the mild heat of a jalapeno but with a slightly fruitier flavor, this is the pepper you’re looking for. The first yellow jalapeno developed from the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. Plants produce good amounts of yellow peppers that turn orange then red, making for a nice show in the garden. Peppers can be used at any color stage, though they are most often harvested while still yellow. Jaloro peppers are juicy and meaty, great for making salsa, on salads or nachos, also an excellent pepper for pickling. Compact plants are resistant to 6 types of viruses that often affect peppers.
