Description
The Dwarf Cavendish Banana, Musa acuminata, is a widely grown cultivar and a leading source of commercially grown Cavendish bananas. The smooth, lush leaves can grow up to 4 feet long with maroon or purple blotches on young leaves, which disappear as they mature. Plants produce bunches of flavorful bananas packed with fiber, potassium, calcium, and iron. Matures to 6 – 10 feet tall depending on container size. In cooler climates, plant these warm-loving plants in containers and bring them indoors for winter.
